On November 17, Sumy State University celebrated the International Students' Day. As part of the festive celebrations, which took place online, the winners of the annual contest "Best Student" were officially announced.
Acting students congratulated the students on the holiday. Rector of SSU, Professor, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine - Anatoly Vasilyev. He emphasized the principles of student-centeredness, which our university adheres to, and the limitless number of opportunities that universities provide for professional and personal development. Anatoliy Vasyliyev noted high scientific achievements, impressive achievements in sports and art, active public position of SSU students. On the occasion of the holiday, the head of the institution wished the students to be active and purposeful. "Shape yourself for the present and the future," - said Anatoly Vasiliev.
Traditionally, the winners of the contest "The best student of SSU" were determined in several nominations, emphasizing scientific, educational, social and cultural achievements. The winner in the nomination "Educational Activity" is a student of the Faculty of TeSET Vladislav Izemenko. However, student life is not limited to learning and scientific achievements. Active and purposeful students of SSU can show leadership qualities in the system of student self-government, trade union work or volunteer movement. The most active public figures are marked in the corresponding nominations. Much attention at our university is also paid to creative development. Winners of all-Ukrainian and international competitions are nurtured in the circles and studios of the Cultural and Art Center, and iconic city and regional concerts do not do without our creative teams. The winner in the nomination "Cultural and artistic activity" was Alexander Myronenko - a student of the faculty of TeSET.
